Then we have just the thing! The Sweet Nostalgia Gift Basket will be sure to satisfy even the most picky candy lover.

This candy basket comes with a reusable retro-styled basket that is yellow with green polka dots and green trim. It is a very attractive basket. The candy (which is not reusable by the way!) includes such classic treats as Hershey bars, Necco wafers, saltwater taffy, Butterfinger, Milk Duds, Baby Ruth, Dots, Almond Joy, M&Ms, Charleston Chew and more.

These are no bite sized candy either, these are the full size candy bars of your youth. Some people still give out full-sized candy bars for Halloween but not me – we get way too many kids for that.

Halloween Gift Baskets: How to Make Your Own

It’s been a long summer and finally Fall is here. October brings back great childhood memories for me. Why? Halloween of course! And because I enjoy this month so much I thought I would share with you my strategy for build your own Halloween Gift Baskets. Why make your own gift basket? Well I have found that vendors, even some of the great ones I partner with, do not do a good job when it comes to putting together seasonal gift baskets. So I have found that it’s a lot easier and more cost effective to just build my own.

So, here is what you do. First, buy yourself a basket of some sort. What I find works well is getting a basket that can be used to hold the candy you will be handing out later. I suggest getting something like an Earthenware Pumpk Candy Basket.

So now that you have the basket of your Halloween Gift Baskets what else do you need? Why some gifts of course! I like to put in three items: a costume, spooky music and some candy. That makes for a nice basket.

For a great selection of costumes check out the Costume Store at Amazon.com. They offer a great selection and you will easily get your purchases before the holiday.

Amazon.com also offers a great selection of spooky music for your Halloween Gift Basket. Check out their Halloween Music page for all the spooky music you could possible need.

Finally, the candy. Now some people let their kids go out and gets pounds of candy by themselves but I prefer to buy the candy for them and put it in their gift basket. That way I can control what they are eating! Luckily enough Amazon has some great deals on candy right now so unless you have already stocked up, go check out their site to get some great deals. You can click on the banner below to find their best deals on candy.

So that’s how you can make a great Halloween Gift Basket. Good luck!

P.S. – if you do use these tips I would love to see a picture of your basket, it would be neat seeing a number of you show off your hard work.

Coffee Indulgence Gift Basket

There is no better gift for a coffee lover than a Coffee Indulgence Gift Basket like the one shown here. What I like about this coffee gift basket is that it isn’t one particular brand, like the Starbuck Gift Basket I have previously written about. Now don’t get me wrong, I really enjoy that coffee gift basket, but everyone like a little variety every once in awhile.

This Coffee Indulgence Gift Basket is from GiftBaskets.com, a well-respected vendor of gourmet food gift baskets. The gift basket comes in a reusable wooden planter that contains hazelnut coffee, a variety of sampler coffee, espresso- and latte-flavored candies, caramel whirls, a large Ghirardelli square, and a box of caramel-filled chocolates in the shape of coffee mugs.

Hazelnut coffee is my favorite! And it goes really well with chocolate, which is why I guess they paired them together in this gourmet food gift basket. Just this weekend my girlfriends and I used our coffee grinder to grind up some hazelnut coffee and had a few mugs out by the pool. What a great way to start the weekend! Very luxurious.

Whether as a gift for a coffee lover you care about or as a reward to yourself, this coffee gift basket will make a great fit and I know will be well-received by whoever is lucky enough to get it.
